History is made up of sounds, too. Sounds are temporal entities that occur at a given moment, last for a certain amount of time, and then disappear.

About the project:
As part of the International Museum Day celebrations, “Sons do Tempo" event was created. This immersive experience invites the public to embark on a cultural journey through the centuries, exploring the environments and experiences of Madeiran manor houses over time.
More than just a show, 'Sounds of Time' is an interactive, sensory experience where music, theatre, cinema, architecture, history and memory intertwine to breathe life into Madeira's heritage spaces. Every nook and cranny, every sound and every glance invites discovery, revealing the echoes of the eras, styles and ways of life that have shaped the island's cultural identity.
The event features a diverse programme that transforms the manor houses into vibrant stages of artistic expression, where visitors become active participants in this celebration of time and culture.
The first session of this event will take place at the Solar de São Cristóvão in Machico on Saturday 17 May. During a guided tour accompanied by timeless music, visitors will be able to enjoy performances by three different musical groups.
Sounds of Time is where the past meets the present and culture gains a voice.
